Wild Planet Trust is a registered education, scientific and conservation charity established in 1957 and based in Devon, UK. We own two zoos in south west England, plus two local nature reserves and a National Nature Reserve. We support conservation in the United Kingdom and overseas using funds generated by the people who visit the zoos and the expertise and dedication of our staff.

 

Newquay Zoo first opened its doors as a council run seasonal attraction in the 1950s, relocating it to its current site and now permanent home in 1969. Over 50 years later, our site, and work, has grown considerably and we are now one of Cornwall’s most popular tourist attractions and a leading conservation and education centre. There are over 120 species of animal that call Newquay Zoo home.

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Growth Executive to join our Customer Growth (Marketing) team on a permanent contract. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours over 5 days. The salary for this position is £26110.50 per annum.

What will this role involve?

You will assist in the researching, recommending and implementing the Customer Growth strategy and annual programme of events; as well as supporting the enhancement of the visitor experience at our zoos and maximize visitors and revenue. The role will involve coordinating the Customer Growth and digital campaigns within set budgets and timescales. You will be using Salesforce non-profit to help establish and grow relationships with our visitors and potential visitors to drive visitation and increase revenue as well as coordinating and recommending marketing. You will contribute to campaigns including day tickets, Adoptions, Experiences, Membership, Catering, Functions, and Retail. The role will also involve coordinating visitor updates to our website, reviewing analytics and making recommendations for our online customer journey. You will assist with the coordination and delivery of internal and external events.

 

What skills and experience are required?

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate in marketing (CIM). You will need A level or equivalent in English, Media Studies, Art or Business Studies as well as a Marketing or Media degree. 2 years’ experience in a similar role. Salesforce non-profit and Marketing Cloud experience would be an advantage. It is essential to have experience of working to deadlines in a fast paced work environment as well as having a broad understanding of marketing practices in the leisure and tourism industry. Excellent communication and organisation skills as you will be building a network with external agencies. A full driving license would be an advantage.
