4th International Meeting on Zoo Research, Conservation and Biodiversity

The 4th International Meeting on Zoo Research, Conservation and Biodiversity will be held from April 3 to 6, 2024 in the Serengeti-Park Hodenhagen, Germany. This hybrid event provides a platform for scientists, academia, zoo researchers, conservationists, students and interested members of the public to discuss and exchange information on new science-based innovations and research topics. These topics may offer perspectives and development of future-oriented solutions to biodiversity changes, while also addressing environmental sustainability. They fall under the areas of science-policy interaction, comparative animal behaviour and adaptations, and animal-visitor interaction.

This year, the 4th IMZRCB will take place during the 50th Anniversary of the Serengeti-Park Hodenhagen. As such, the conference theme is "50 years of the Serengeti-Park and what an animal park of this dimension has, in those 50 years, really contributed to animal conservation and biodiversity in the local area and back in nature". Join us in discussing the works of your parks, zoos, organizations and research areas, and their contribution to global conservation efforts. We provide a special tour of the Serengeti-Park's animal safari, food during the conference days, workshops, and a gala night.

We are excited to announce our keynote speakers this year: Jon Taylor (Conservation Optimism) and Dr. Mariska Kret (Leiden University).
